Righteous Fire

The Righteous Fire uses technology from an earlier age of Toba space exploration - chemical rockets! While higher technology drives exist, nothing makes an impact on spectators and other Rocket Dogs like huge fire belching engines, roaring and screaming as they belch fire and smoke.

…and if the shock-and-awe from a barely constrained chemical explosion isn’t enough to make an impact, the styling of the Righteous Fire makes sure that no one who has seen it once will ever forget it. The shape of the rocket was inspired by Toba birds of prey, which occupy similar ecological niches as falcons and eagles on Earth, but the design is unlike any other rocket (the engineers at the secretive Challenger Studio failed to say where they got the inspiration from, but there are rumors that the design team there took visual inspiration from human movies, tv shows, and video games that were recorded by the crew of the Toba flagship Leihnard when it visited Earth.) Toba spectators who’ve seen a Righteous Fire in operation can’t stop talking about it. Does it have a top speed beyond that of the Ion Booster? No. Can it accelerate faster than Atomic Bolt? Again, no … but the dark steel plates, the predator-like shape, the iconography, and the roaring smoking engines make an impact that mere numbers on a specification sheet just can’t capture.
