Quark Phaser

The Quark Phaser is another design from Atomo-Dyne Labs. After producing and delivering the Atomic Bolt for the Rocket Dogs, the engineers at Atomo-Dyne realized that they had other technologies they could use for Rocket Dogs races. One such technology is based on the high-endurance rockets that they build for the Toba comet defense force. Like the Atomic Bolt, the Quark Phaser uses nuclear reaction to flash heat water to super-heated steam, but unlike the Atomic Bolt, the Quark Phaser uses more advanced physics - as yet unknown to humans - to manipulate matter at the sub-electron and sub-proton level, playing with the very quarks that make up subatomic particles. By twisting and manipulating quarks, rotating some of them by just a few degrees, and others by up to 720 degrees, the Toba quark technology generates absolutely insane levels of boost duration from within the small engine. While the engineers at Atomo-Dyne Labs don’t like to compare their products, and thus are loathe to admit that the Quark Phaser has more endurance than the Atomic Bolt, they’re more than happy to say that the Quark Phaser is far more capable than most of the rockets from their competitors.
