Plasma Raptor

The Plasma Raptor, like the G5 Cruiser, is based on a Toba racing aircar design. Unlike the G5, the Plasma Raptor is designed by Overdrive Technology. The engineers at Overdrive leapt at the opportunity to build rockets for the Rocket Dogs races and began their development the very day that Kainsha and Gogali sent out their call for participation. Given that they started early, they also had the design perfected in short order, with lots of time before the deadline… so, they decided to spice it up a bit.

It would be unfair to say that Overdrive Technology engaged in industrial espionage - the engineers and designers there would never do something as underhanded as that. …but just because they refuse to break the laws doesn’t mean that they’re not willing to bend them a bit. When one of the OT engineers overheard another Toba at a social function bragging that he was a designer at Atomo-Dyne labs and was designing a new rocket based off of their successful Atomic Bolt design, he took the news back to the others at Overdrive Technology. The result - the Plasma Raptor - shows some shared inspiration with the Atomic Bolt but is far from a clone. It has a look all its own with the ability to perform based on its race-proven aircar inspired design.
