Firefly Fury

The Firefly Fury is another rocket from Advanced Exploration Technology Group, the Toba manufacturer that specializes in building spaceships for Toba mining and manufacturing purposes. The Firefly Fury isn’t based, like the other AETG rockets, on a bulk cargo transport, but instead on a smuggling interdiction ship. Most Toba are kind, civilized, and rule abiding - but even the Toba have their occasional criminals and outlaws. Among other things, this means that the Toba mining operations must contend with criminals who steal the minerals that they’ve laboriously dug up, or who harvest illegal botanicals from Lukona or mind-altering extracts from Absolute Abyss and try to smuggle them back to Quantum Prime.

To deal with the threat of thieves and smugglers, the Toba needed a fast ship - one capable of not just catching standard ore haulers and other trade ships, but one capable of overtaking even hot-rodded and supercharged smuggling ships. Thus, the AETG builds a few fast cutters for those tasked with enforcing Toba laws, and this design has been miniaturized and repurposed for the Rocket Dog races as the Firefly Fury.
