Toba Material Handling Phyle designs force field generators for all sorts of purposes: material handling on off-world mining moons, protecting Toba interstellar ships from micrometeorites, and more.

When the Rocket Dog program began, engineers in the Toba Material Handling Phyle wanted to be a part of it. Their technology seemed perfect for a defensive tool, so they worked on miniaturizing their large forcefield generators to something small enough for a Rocket Dog to carry, and they succeeded.

The result is the Shell of Freedom - a spherical force field that protects a Rocket Dog from most dangers, while still leaving them free to accelerate down the racecourse!
