Puma Pulse

Astro Gulch is a moon of Alps-like mountains, deep valleys, small villages, and big herds of wooly bara livestock, prized for the thick warm wool that is sheared off of them three times per year.

In between herding sheep and tending to their quaint villages, the Toba of Astro Gulch like to socialize in taverns that dot the mountainsides. Most taverns have one or two special brews that they make in house, but there are also a few small breweries and distillers in the larger towns and small cities that dot the valley bottoms. One of these breweries thought that a beverage that was derived, at least in part, from bara wool would an interesting export item, so they brought in a group of chemical engineers from Quantum Prime and gave them two instructions: make sure to use bara wool, and make sure that the result helps protect from being intoxicated, stunned, or otherwise confused.

What the chemists ended up with was a bit too energetic to serve as an ingredient in a beverage but found a new life in the Puma Pulse rocket fuel.
