Lolcat

Among the endless Earth television programs that the Toba flagship Leihnard captured while visiting that planet were hundreds of hours of cartoons - many of them showing dogs being startled by wild cats and running from their hissing voices and swinging claws.

The Toba didn’t bring any cats back to Quantum Prime, but as the Toba have used holographic projectors for centuries, it was a simple matter to make a small holographic projector that casts a convincing moving image of a cartoon cat. The Toba felt conflicted about actually testing the Lolcat projector on dogs - would it be too mean to scare them like that? - but one Shiba Inu in the Rocket Dog training program saw the prototype sitting unguarded, swiped it, and had fun using it himself, and the dogs who were surprised by it seemed none the worse for wear, so the Lolcat was officially added to the list or approved items for Rocket Dog racing.
