Dogbone

Dogbone is Junior Chef Geemi’s second frugal kitchen concoction. This one is even simpler than rawhide bones. Part of her duties in assisting Senior Chef Shidee is to bone out the wild-caught lorko from Helios Retreat, which the senior chef uses to make Puppy Chow. Geemie saves the bones from the composting bins, and sorts through them, looking for the long leg bones, which have enough marrow inside to make them a tasty treat for Rocket Dogs. Because some Rocket Dogs are smaller than others (not every dog is a mighty mastiff, capable of cracking bones into fragments - some are Pomeranians, mini-Pinschers, or Russel Terriers), Geemi makes sure to use a bone saw to score the lorko bones at several places. This way, every Rocket Dog from the smallest Basenji to the largest Siberian Husky can crack through the hard outer shell and get a burst of nutritious marrow to power them through a race.
