Dark Flare

Exosol is a harsh desert moon, and the Toba have outposts there for just one reason: resource extraction. The tinkling, chiming sands of the deserts that cover almost all of the moon are filtered to extract rare ores. The black granite mountains that pierce the desert sands are mined for deep purple gemstones, which are treasured on Quantum Prime and the various moons for their beauty when set into jewelry…but it turns out that the purple gemstones hold another secret. When crushed into powder and treated with various reactants and catalysts, the gems yield the rocket fuel Dark Flare. Dark Flare, due to the literal mountains of rock that must be blasted and moved to extract is from Exosol, is not cheap, but the enhanced boost is worth it.
