Cerulean Thermite

No one knows who built the stark white buildings of Hyperdax. There are no clues as to who built the seaside ports, the vast open fora in the city centers, the long marble colonnades, or the statues that adorn every city center. The leading theory is that early in the space age some half-crazed Toba snuck from Quantum Prime to Hyperdax and used an army of robots to do the work. Evidence for this theory is sparse, but other theories make even less sense.

One piece of data that does tend to confirm this theory is the presence of open Cerulean Thermite mines dotted across the surface of Hyperdax. The mineral, unknown on Quantum Prime, is abundant on Hyperdax, and the open mines show that it has been quarried here - indeed, some of the mines are almost played out, showing that thousands of tons of Cerulean Thermite have been dug up, refined and - perhaps - used to power the robots that may have built the structures of Hyperdax.

Some mines are played out, but not all - which means that a Rocket Dog in need of a lot of thrust without as much heat - can still get his hands (paws?) on some!
