The Toba, with their centuries of science and engineering are experts at many things, including electronics, space travel, rocket engines…but their medical science is also quite advanced. In addition to tools and medicines to cure diseases or heal broken bones, they’ve also developed a wide variety of anesthesia.

When the first Rocket Dog got an injury during playtime (a stick jammed into a gum, because dogs on Quantum Prime show all the good sense about running with things in their mouths that dogs on Earth show), the Toba realized that they were going to need to invent veterinary science.

Toba biology is different from Earth biology, but with their advanced computers it didn’t take too long to develop a complete range of anesthetics that would work on Rocket Dogs (Neil, the German Shepherd who got the stick jammed in his gums was fixed up in a jiffy and demonstrated the efficacy of the new medicines.) …but the invention of anesthetics compatible with dog biochemistry gave rise to a new Rocket Dog attack - a Boomerang capable of deploying air bursts of a very very mild dose of an aesthetic that leave any Rocket Dog affected feeling safe, comfortable, and just a little bit tired …before it wears off just seconds later.
